Homeless Film Festival new contributor
Donkey Stone Films would like to thank Pauline Dabrowski of the Castles Built in Sand collective for allowing us to show her film “Terminal 2D” as part of our Homeless Film Festival. Here’s a bit about Pauline and her collective:
Pauline Dabrowski is a recent MA graduate in Visual Anthropology at the University of Manchester. She is part of the Manchester based media collective Castles Built in Sand and is currently developing a collaborative project between young migrants in the UK and potential candidates to immigration in Morocco. She is interested in multimedia documentaries that integrate photographs, soundscapes and text in films in order to offer a sensorial, embodied approach to filmmaking.

Pauline Dabrowski of Castles Built in Sand collective has contributed her film "Terminal 2D" to the Donkey Stone Films Homeless Film Festival.
Castles Built in Sand is a Manchester based collective of visual anthropologists, independent filmmakers, photographers, musicians, artists, and writers. Together they observe, document, and explore, using various mediums to look at some of the issues currently affecting people and communities, whilst addressing the wider context in which these issues obtain. They produce observational documents that arouse debate that is open-ended, inclusive, and accessible in a wide range of media formats.
Pauline describes the film “Terminal 2D”:
“Airports are places of transition by essence. Yet some chose to settle there when they become homeless. This mixed media film made in Paris-Charles de Gaulle explores some of the reasons that pushes people to settle in airports and what they have to go through to secure a long-term stay in a transitory place.”
Watch and enjoy!
